San Francisco area (North Bay) LUG

I know we have a couple of members in the Bay Area, and I was wondering if any of you have ever attended nblug (www.nblug.org) functions, or have had any experience with the group. I've been a bit lazy about checking them out myself because they usually meet at O'Reilly Press' headquarters in Sebastopol, and that's a bit of a haul for me mile-wise.

This Saturday however, they're doing an InstallFest at Sonoma State University and I was invited by one of my friends to go up and lend a helping hand. Sounds like a good way to recruit some new Penguinistas for the Tux army, so I think I'll give it a go (wearing my handy "JustLinux" T-shirt, of course).

I live in North Salinas now and work in Monterey, maybe we can get together some weekend and exchange notes... more like drink a few beers and see if we can tweak our systems to the max. I have a Toshiba laptop that I would really like to get zipping but....

Anyhow let me know.

PS: I drive up occassionally to hand with my new Spanish girlfriend that is getting her PHd in Evironmental Cancer Research. Way cool, and she has the same laptop with SuSE 9.0 on it as well, but I got an IM today saying her Linux system has crashed hard. So I will be looking into that tomorrow or Saturday.
