I've always used just ext2/3 and now that I've recently gotten a gentoo system going i started reading up a bit on reiserFS...
ok so ive read lots of the atomic hooplah about reiser4... so im wondering now
when is it supposed to be ready?
also, how does reiser3 handle system crashes? i just had a ext3 system crash on me which trashed all the data on an entire hard disk... so much for journaling. The system crash was due to a redundant power chasis failure (even with redundant power, there is still a single point of failure!)
so im trying to think of what FS to use in this next round of servers... according to namesys, reiser4 will not be as stable as v3 for a while.
thanks
