A professor is applying for a job at my college, and as part of the application, they give an open lecture for anyone to attend. We are trying to hire a new CS professor, and one of the profs (giving a lecture tomorow) is giving a lecture on memory management at an operating system level.

Where can I find some information/white papers, etc on memory management so I can possibly have something to contribute to the lecture?

If it were me, I would start by searching Google/Google for Linux for 'memory management' as I know I would find documentation/white papers on the subject.

Yah I started searching after I posted, and was surprised at the high number of quality results returned.

For some reason I just assumed it would be a relatively hard to find subject.

You need to shake that magic 8 ball a little harder. It keeps giving you the same answer :D

Why not if it solves most of your problems? Does for me as I've never had to post a question here at JL/LNO. :)

Yes I know. You have pointed out your need for one way human interaction before. :D

Of course you realize, that this is indeed one of your respectable attributes. Self empowerment is far superior to co-dependance. In all seriousness though, sometimes the availability of information is not the only necessary component for learning. People need interaction as well. Otherwise nobody would ever come here.
