Do I need to download drivers to get this to work?

I can't seem to find any thing related to Linux on Logitech's site, and I can't get the mouse wheel scroll to work either.

Ok, when I go to save that file after editing it, I get an error message saying

The file could not be saved. Please check if you have write permission. Now, I tried to log in through su and change the permissions of the file but that only confused me more. What am I doing wrong?

you have to be root
su then enter
password *&^%$# enter
then open the file make the edit then save.
