I'm triyng to get the sound working on my Asus A7N8X mortherboard, but no luck.
I tried installing the packages, but they don't do anything Sound isn't working
NVIDIA_nforce-1.0-0261.rh90up_2.4.20_6.athlon.rpm
NVIDIA_nforce-1.0-0261.rh90up_2.4.20_9.athlon.rpm
I tried manuallying adding
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8smp/kernel/drivers/sound
insmod nvaudio.o
nvaudio.o: unresolved symbol unregister_sound_mixer_Rsmp_7afc9d8a
nvaudio.o: unresolved symbol unregister_sound_dsp_Rsmp_cd083b10
nvaudio.o: unresolved symbol register_sound_mixer_Rsmp_ba5ab8f4
nvaudio.o: unresolved symbol register_sound_dsp_Rsmp_b8a4e550
And I get these messages. I tried adding also i810_audio.o and get the same message.
I'm still a newb with linux, so I'd appreciate some help in terns of explaining me what's missing here or what I'm doing wrong.
First of all. HOW do I find which one of the modules is the correct one for my motherboard. I'm assuming its the nvidia one, but I read on some foums the i810_audio.o is also good.
