Hi: I am planning to reinstall Linux RH v9 to my system, and I do have a couple of questions before I start doing this:
1-should I remove GRUB?
2-should I just write over the existing installation?

I am planning to let the installation program, partition my HD automatically, and I am also planning to use two hard drives, would the installation program, allow me to do this?
The first HD is the biggest one 6.0 gb, and the second HD is a 4.gb
Any suggestions advice are much welcome
Miguel

You don't need to remove GRUB when you reinstall.

If you don't care about the data that's on the hard drive, Red Hat can just automatically delete and partition all available space.

Yes

If there is nothing specific in the GRUB already installed (old installs that will be kept), it's best to reload the whole thing

You can easily use multiple drives, during the partitioning in the installer you have the chance to specify which drives/partitions to user with what by mount point. You can have most of the drive at / but have other drives for /home /usr /boot swap or anything else you want (make a custom mount point like /sparedrive or something :))

Ensure you do a 'custom' install as you will then have the option to delete existing partitions and create new (on both HD's).

Select the bootloader to be installed in the same location and it will overwrite the previous.
