Right, im downloading red hat linux 9 at 100k, i need some help before i actully burn it to cd, ie drivers and stuff, ive been reading the hardware support at redhat site and it doesent show the graphics card i have [Sapphire 9600XT 256MB] does it still support and does anybody have any info on were it is?

The next thing is i have a Asus A7N8X-X Motherboard, but i cant seem to find that on the hardware thing at redhat site, i tried fedoroda last night and nothing could find the ethernet connection whats built into the motherboard, so if anybody has any info on taht it would be nice aswell, ie drivers, how to set it up.

The next thing is, ive got a 120GB maxtor hd, which has just reinstaled windows xp, because fedorda wouldent make a partician so i had to choose uninstall windows, but that dident mater because there was nothing on my hd. So, does anybody know if theres any free programs what would help me make a partition for linux? Any help would be nice.

Thats all i think.

Thanks
eLLu

I've used the partitioning tool that comes with RH 9, it should work fine for you. I haven't tried the Fedora one.

Thanks for the fast reply, in my magazine it said that the fedoroda one said its possible to lose all your data  , so the one in redhat will work fine?

How about the drivers and stuff? Is that already in the cd installanation?

Keep in mind, it is always easy to lose your data if you're not cautious, regardless of which tool you use. Make sure you have a good backup. As for the drivers, most of the time, if they're not on the CDs they're available somewhere on the internet, if they exist at all.

Sounds like a very reasonable course of action.
