I am trying to install Slack 9.1 from CD. And when the I boot from the install disk when it gets to the part where it asks about if you want to use a different keyboard map and it freezes. I am trying to install it on a HP Pavilion ze4650 notebook. I booted from the LiveCD and the keyboard worked fine so I am a bit confused....any enlightenment?

Nothing. It is like the system just locks up.

See if Slackware has any documentation on their site that explains the different options you can specify during boot/installation.
Besides that, anything keyboard related in the bios that can be enabled/disabled/modified that might help?
Redhat has
