Linux In A Nutshell...most excellent. Learning the Bourne Shell is also quite good.

O'reilly has some good linux books, and as Hayl pointed to, you can read some online.

sorry I have a ? on this topic myself... can anyone recommend a good site for learning the c++ that kdevelop uses because I know all of the basic c++ but i dont understand at all what it uses... even if I look at other programs I dont know where to start in making my own...

I would suggest going to http://nerdbooks.com there prices are lower than amazon and barnes and nobel most of the time, a good book is LINUX POWER TOOLS.00109557FF45

I understand that I can obviously get books on c++ but they only teach me stuff that I already know... Im not stupid so dont take me that way.
