we have a medium sized home lan and 3 linux boxes running some services (ftp, telnet, samba, etc) for all-around fun and goodness. What I want to set up is a pop mail server on my linux box and I was wondering what would be the easiest and overall best in general, one that webmin supports would be nice, but it is not needed. Webmin is nice, but it prevents me from getting down and dirty, which is one reason why I use linux in the first place. Anyway, any suggestions/ comments will be appreciated

i suggest setting up imap instead - keep all your mail on one central box, set up a web interface with squirrelmail for when you are not at home, and then you can centrally back it all up.

where in Calgary? I'm in Patterson.

right north of marlborogh(sp?) mall

Oh and which imapd should i install? old faithful normal imapd ? I looked at this page:

http://netwinsite.com/dmail/imapd.htm

And it looked ok, but I don't know if this is the usual one or not... anyway, please supply me with the proper url or information if I deserve to be kicked in the face for my insolence.
