...well rather... one question, i've noticed when my system starts up i get this rather interesting error regarding my cdroms
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xffa8-0xffaf, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:DMA
hdc: HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR8162B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
end_request: I/O error, dev hdc, sector 0
hdc: ATAPI 48X DVD-ROM drive, 256kB Cache, UDMA(33)
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xffa8-0xffaf, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:DMA
hdd: HL-DT-ST GCE-8483B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
end_request: I/O error, dev hdd, sector 0
hdd: ATAPI 48X CD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, UDMA(33)
HDC is a DVD-rom, HDD is a CD-RW, this error doesnt occur on 2.4.x
Slackware 9.1/kernel 2.6.0/Dimension 4600
