Recently I've bought a 5 button mouse (four normal buttons and a scroll) and I was just wondering if I can somehow program the optional two buttons to do anything in Mandrake, does anyone know how?

Look in "How I Did It" about 2 months ago for "Microsoft Intellimouse".
