First of all let me start out by telling you that I am still a pretty new to linux. I have run several distos but us GUI for most configuration, etc. Anyway, I installed Mandrake 9.2 a couple of weeks ago and everything worked great. Last night I got the bright idea of updating/compiling my kernel to 2.6. The upgrade went fairly well except for a couple of hardware issues that I now have that weren't there before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. My wireless network card is not working now. The green light on my card works but it is not showing in harddrake and doesn't work. I double checked and the pcmcia service is working but apparently the drivers aren't loading?? I tried to set it up myself but with no luck. Where shoud I start on this one. I do know that when it was working it was using the orininco_cs drivers.

2. Somewhere along the update process I added support for syanptics touchpad (this is a laptop). It used to just be support for std ps2 mouse. The problem now is that I am unable to click by tapping. I have to actually press the button.

So far these are the only two issues that I have discovered with my upgrade. I am really excited that I managed to get this close on my first kernel update. Honestly I wondered if the computer would even boot :)

Thanks in advance for you help.
