Soundcard Line-In/Mic no sound

I got my sb16 up and running with ALSA but I can't get any sound through my line-in or mic. I run my guitar through these inputs and it was working properly in Windows but no in Linux at all. Im using Slackware 9. Can anyone help?:confused:

Alot of the time the mic settings are muted by default, load up aumix and check the settings.
