Hi all
I am just not able to do this.
What i am doing, going to usr/lib
Now here I find three mozillas,- mozilla, mozilla 1.4, mozilla firebird.
I understand Mozilla 1.4 and mozilla firebird as two programs. So where is mozilla coming from. As I checked that my version of mozilla is version 1.4-the one which I launch.
Anyway I go to the /usr/lib/mozilla..../plugins.
I make a symlink like this
ln -s /usr/local/j2re1.4.1_06/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so
Now this is not working?
There is no other plugin in my plugin directory.
Secondly, do I need any configuraton from helper application in mozilla to make java work?
Thanks
SS

I'm not sure what it is you're asking for, so, I'll punt. In Mozilla, click on Edit/Preferences. In the left pane, go to the bottom of the list and click on Advanced. In the page that is displayed, click on 'Enable Java'. Then close the preferences dialog.

wow dude...

java in Mozilla is a piece o' cake...

first of all download j2re-1.4.1-01
from blackdown.org
next

as root...

slide it in to /usr/local/
extract it....
it will create a new directory..j2re1.4.1
after extraction...
move into it
slide into the plugin directory and
slide into the mozilla directory....NOT the netscape one...

do the symbolic link to your mozilla plugin directory...
put it in mozilla-1.4.1 if that is the version you are using...

also you should get the gcc3.2 version of java.....

remember search first....then try it, try it again, and again, and again.....then ask....

hope this helps.....

BTW, running Fedora Core 1 on a PII 333/192meg
nvidia gforce2-64meg
and it ROCKS.....

been running linux since RH5 ....
use it and learn...remember this is NOT doze....
