my first game installation problem--armyops

well, i just did a GTK+ library upgrading to 2.2

now the problem is still there, when i try to install armyops, it keep saying:

Gtk-WARNING **: GModule initialization check failed: Gtk+ version too old (micro mismatch)

Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from (NULL) pointer to `GtkEntry'

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkentry.c: line 490 (gtk_entry_get_text): assertion `entry != NULL' failed.

what's wrong :confused:

can you actually install armyops? If you can and the gtk error is all you get, then there is nothing to worry about

oh, no, i couldn't install it.
still got same error when i try today.

:confused: GUI errors should not keep it from being installed. If the installer can't start the GUI it will default to a text install (one of the many nice features of the Loki Installer ;))

You might not be waiting long enough for it to get there, ArmyOps is almost a 600MB file and when you start the install it runs a MD5check to verify that the archive is complete and uncorrupted. Depending on your hardware it could take as little as 5 minutes to ever START verifying...give it some time, start it up and go make a sandwich :)
