Using CrossOver to install games?? That's new :)

For UT, there are native installers to run it in Linux
http://www.3ddownloads.com/index.php3?directory=/linuxgames/loki/patches/ut/

As where CrossOver installs the stuff...check under ~/crossover

And for games, consider WineX (http://transgaming.com) that is designed to run OpenGL and DirectX 'applications'

Yes, wrong file :D

You want ut-install-436.run

Inportant question...do you have the Game of the Year edition (GOTY)? This makes a big difference on which installer to use (Not addressed at the 3DDownloads site)

www.lokigames.com did the port for UT, you can find the info under their Support section and links to the installers.

and besides getting the native linux installer (ie. not wine), you also need to be root to be able to write to anywhere in /usr, like /usr/local/games/

:) have fun playing UT, it runs great in linux

Using crossover for games isn't particularly new, I've seen reports on the transgaming site that Steam will work through crossover.
