Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone wants to work with me in making a web administration tool for Linux using PHP.

Anyone who has some idea about PHP is welcome and so are people with PHP enabled servers for testing and some one to write some docs.

I nearly forgot that I need someone to help make some graphics.

I was planning on it being able to start/stop services and have some sort of SSH style connection.

Some of the services I was thinking of are:
Apache
MySQL
SSHD
OpenLDAP
Samba
and some others.

If you are interested, post what you think that you can help with on this forum. If we get enough interest I might move us to a more private zone. (i.e. a different forum)

I will need some people to:
> Help with the coding
> Make graphics
> Test
> Document

So far we have:
> Me (The Linux Kid) - Main programmer and project manager

I am now awaiting your help,

The Linux Kid

I'm assuming that you've heard of Webmin, but are doing this as an intellectual challenge, rather than to fill a need?

Linux Format (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk) (UK Linux magazine) have been running a _long_ series on PHP - I think you can download most of it from their archives.

I do already know of Webmin. I use it quite a bit, but as you guessed, this is just an intellectual challenge, and also I find that webmin is very annoying to use, having to drill down through so many pages to simply restart samba etc.

So anyone willing to help?
