I hope this post is ok

I just finshed my web pages and now ready to set up the server. I have 3 E-Mail pages that I do not have a clue on seting up and geting running.I do understand how to host the web pages but lost on what is intelled on setting up the e-mail pages.

Can you all help with this?

I can tell you that I do have a Acc. at dyndns.com

Im looking to have a Support Address and some others like support@mnservicemasters.com / newlead@mnservicemasters.com / newcontractor@mnservicemasters.com and then when I E-Mail them back it should show that it came form servicemasters.com and not comcast.net..

I think you all get the point to what i'm try to do here.

I'm running Libranet2.8 and SuSE9.0 witch ever is going to be the easyest to use and setup will be the server..

Thanks
Steven

I'm very much a newbie, since about june.

I use TSL trustix secure server, very small os with no gui. There is no crap on this iso, just what you need. Less cpu waste. I run all my web pages, fileserver, and 5 email accounts on a p2 200 with 96mb. not bad eh!

Download the iso it is really good. If all you want is a server use this.

I setup apache and php4 for web pages/server of files

I have 5 pop3 mail accounts and use fetchmail to pick them up

I use postfix and then courier imap to control my email.

Also squirrelmal to use webmail on those accounts, use outlook on my XP box also

webmin is a good program to use for setting up some of these programs.

nearly all this software comes on the iso!

As to setting up, this forum is really good, use google. theres loads of people out there doing the same. Trustix has its own forum as well so you can ask question there.

hope this helps.
