I have the following entries in my webalizer output and I wonder why they're there. I've been getting this sort of thing for over 6 months and I have a few ideas on what they are but I don't know for sure so I'm asking you. Do you know why I get single hits that download a single kilobyte from all over the world?
My website is a personal one that doesn't show up on websearches so they aren't legitimate traffic unlike the first three entries in the chart below.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Joe

More than likely they are viruses running rampant on the internet that are trying to infect your box. Check your log files for apache to verify. Look for anything that looks way to similar. I haven't looked at a log file that has virus signatures in a while.

You also will get web spiders by search engines no matter what. It's not a matter if it's a personal site or not, if it answers on port 80, you're gonna get crawled.
