I haven't really done any research on this just yet, but what sort of issues can I expect trying to run an SATA drive in a linux machine?

I'm planning to rebuild my server after christmas with a new SATA drive for storage and I'll probably end up running RedHat9 on it.

Does anyone have any definite experience getting SATA drives to work with RH9?

As long as you have a compatible controller, the drives should work fine ;)

Check up-to-date hardware support lists for which controllers have support.
