help with x windows

i just installed a fresh debian on my computer

i apt-get install xwindows-server-v3 and xwindows-svga

i also did apt-get install icewm

i tries to run icewm but got the error:

can't open display: none. X must be running and $display set.

the video card in that system is crappy. it is like 512kilobytes. the computer is a p166.

any help?

Have you tried..

$ startx

also try..


# apt-get install x-window-system
