Hi,

I just finished installing SuSE 9.0 Professional and ran into some trouble with my network cards. The system has two cards in it, an unused 3Com card and the nVidia nForce2 that I want to use. SuSE detected both but was only able to set up the 3Com card. Under YaST I think all I need to do is enter a "Module Name" and "Options" for the card since it's not on the list. SuSEplugger lists both cards as network controllers, I'm just not sure what information I need to input to set up my nForce card, or where I can find that information.

Thanks,
Justin

I went to nVidia's website and got the unified nForce driver RPM for SuSE 9.0. It loaded alright according to YaST. The problem is I'm not sure how to use the information that it loaded to configure my card. There is no "nForce" option on the hardware list with YaST and it still isn't recognizing my card :(

I'm pretty sure I've got all the stuff I need, I just don't know how to get it to use and recognize it. I can post any other information needed here.

YAHOOOOOZA!!!!

I got it figured out. I checked the files the RPM had it and guessed that 'nvnet.o' was the driver name so I told to use 'nvnet' as the module and it worked, sorta. It didn't work the first time but perhaps after I went through the config another time it set up everything it needed to.

Anyways, my internet is working now. Just typing this up incase anyone else has the same problem and searches for it.
