I'm downloading the installation tree from various mirrors. I only have dial up at home and want to install suse 9 on my home computer. In the installation tree there is "installation_directory_root"/suse/src
The src directory contains the source code for all (or close to all) the programs that are installed during installation.
Is the source code required for installation? I didn't think that every program is compiled from source during installation. Is this correct or do I need to go ahead and d/l the files in the src directory?
