Tonight I am going to start installing Red Hat 6.2 on an old box I have. (My first install!!) It has no NIC, no modem. Will I need an internet connection during the install? I have a RH install disk that came with an Element K book on Linux and I have purused the install instructions without finding anything that says I can't do the install w/o the internet but wanted to make sure.

I know the PC will not be much fun in the longrun without an internet connection, but I will fix that later. I am just itching to try an install. Again, it is more of an exerise to learn about Linux at this point.

Thanks in advance

Go for it .. an internet connection is not a requirement for cd installation.
