so...i got everything installed and configured. i made my root 12gb, swap 128mb, and home the rest.

i have configured KDE, it works like a charm.

i have created a user account.

Up next...
configure my modem and dial up info to connect to the internet

communicate with my printer

personalize and graphically improve KDE

What else should I do with this new thing called Linux?

How hard is it to get some games going on this thing?

Did you install nVidia's driver. You need it to play tuxracer and other GL games.

Everyone's taste differs on this one (I suppose a lot of people would hate the way my desktop looks), but here are a few suggestions:

Mosfet liquid theme

Keramik&liquid color scheme (look on kdelook.org). You'll have to change the title bar color slightly to make it fit with kde 3.1

Noia icon theme

Not hard at all. Once you get the nvidia drivers installed, most games should "just work." You might have a few good ones installed with your distro...try tuxracer and chromium.
