K, I go through and add it, and it won't print. It sees it, but will not print. I keep getting "Printing, 0% completed" and that's about it.

Do you have the correct driver installed?

Cups is pretty sweet really.

Lets see what we can for you. Have you pointed your browser to port 631 on your own machine?if you put "localhost":631 into your browser (local host is your machine name... ...I am geussing you have already done all of this since you say yur printer has been added.

Typically you should check out any of the log files to see what is happening. You could try firing up a a print task (any will do) and hitting ctrl-alt-F1. This will show you what X pours out while cups isn't doing. This may seems pointless but sometimes X passes on error messages that were passed to it. (I think thats what I've seen anyway).

Check permissions, Run cups as root, but normal user for the print job. Check the output stream path - which means chack everything from you cliclking to printer prining: including cable etc.

What have you found in the cups docs?

we will get cups working somewhere.
