Mandrake 9.2 Alsa issues

I just upgraded to Mandrake 9.2 and I'm getting this error during bootup:

[code] alsactl: Cannot write control '3:0:0:EFX voices mask:0' : Invalid argument [\code]

I find that because of it, I'm having to reset my volume levels each time I boot this machine. Any thoughts?

I remember a friend of mine had this problem before, but with the mdk 9.2 RC, not the final product. Back then, the following link helped:
