My motherboard is the ChianTech CT-7NJL3, I'm running Mandrake 9.2 and I can't seem to get audio support, I have no sound, only the little system bell speaker. I also can't find a volume adjustment?

I don't know if the following will cure it, but it's worth a try.
From Konsole, try typing "kmix". After that, adjust the volume controls.
I had the same problem when I used Mandrake 8.2.
That's assuming you have KDE installed.
