You don't need it

With Red Hat 9 (under Gnome) click on the red hat (menu) and the third one up or so is something like network shares
I wish I could find a screen shot or was at home, I would be able to tell you exactly what its called

This is a LinNeighborhood type network browser that uses smbclient...
But I found it worked better

I know it's there...I've used it! I sware, its there!! :)

OK - I do have Redhat 9 installed - how do I get the "Network Servers" app installed?? Does it come on the cds?? (I don't have the 2 source cds - I really need to download the source - can anyone point me to where I can download?)

If this app is on the cds - what is its name??

Forgot to mention - I'm using KDE - on a laptop and I really don't wanna install GNOME in addition to KDE because I don't want additonal (needless) space being taken up precious hard drive space......

Like I was saying I will not install GMOME just for 1 app.....can this app work under KDE or anyother window manager - like Fluxbox or XFCE??

Whenever I try to compile LinNeighborhood - I always get compile errors.....there was a LinNeighborhood rpm for redhat 8.

i allways use the windows version cause thats what i have i use it with wine

I dont believe in using WINE - if you want Windows apps run under linux - why are you bothering to use linux in the first place ??

THanks for all your help and suggesions.

It's not a gnome app, it uses smb

Since your using KDE, open konqueror and in the location put in smb:///
