I downloaded an image for Knoppix Live CD and when I reboot my PC, it goes into it but it looks different than I thought it would. It gives me a black screen with the logo, some writing and at the bottom is a command prompt. Is that it? I thought I read that it was going to have a GUI or some sort of basic windows look. I was expecting something more along these lines:

Thanks!

What you have done so far is correct. At the boot> prompt, you need to enter a boot command. Your first attempt might be "knoppix lang=en" if English is your language. Here is a list of all the possible additional commands you can specify at the boot> prompt:

I needed to add additional commands to specify my monitor type.
I would also suggest you do some reading at knoppix.net. They have lots of information, as well as forums if you need help.

Yeah, I am an idiot. My piece of S@#! PC won't boot from the CD no matter what I do in the BIOS. It was booting from just the boot floppy.
