I have the Ximian Desktop 2 running in Red Hat 9.0. At first I was anxious to try Ximian, but I've kind of decided I don't like it much.
1) Is there any way to remove the Ximian Desktop without reformatting and reinstalling RHL?
2) For the past month or longer I've been uanble to retrieve any updates using Ximian's Red Carpet 2.0.2. There are lots of available updates, but I'm unable to check anything to dowload, Mark for Installation, or Mark for Removal. I have tried logging in as root which changes nothing. Anything I should try?
I'm a very new Linux user, so if you have any suggestions, please keep it simple. Thanks a bunch.
