I just upgraded to Fedora Core and am trying to wheen myself completely off of M$, but still need my msn (hotmail) mail account. Fedora came with Evolution 1.4 and I'm trying to configure it to retrieve my mail from the hotmail servers, but no luck yet. I have searched the forum and couldn't find any helpful posts. Part if this is because I'm a helpless noob and don't have the slightest idea of how to set up the mail account. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.
there are a few posts on how to do it. if i recall correctly, you need to use a webmail proxy on your box to get it to work.
try searching.

I don't think this is gonna work out of the box. I don't even know if there is someone hacking around this......
this thread (http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106957&highlight=hotmail+evolution) came up as the first when i searched here for: hotmail evolution
the answer is a few posts down and is called "hotwayd" - there is a link to the product there.
