Is there any directx 9 support in winex? I have version 3.1, but couldn't play max payne 2 because of directx. Is there any workaround for games that use it?

If a game isn't supported officialy by transgaming, there's not much you can do. WineX is the directx implementation of wine. Transgaming releases periodic patches to the winex code with updates and bugfixes for the OFFICIALY SUPPORTED games. So you should check out if Max Payne 2 is supported. If it is, you could snoop around in their forums, here, or send them an e-mail to their support team. If it isn't supported, well, you could do some research or dual-boot (which I think it sucks).
