I was cruising about and came across these two links and thought- WHY? This is probably one of those subjective issues. :)

A 64 x 64 Window Maker Quake dock app:
Quake Dock App (http://freshmeat.net/projects/wmquake/)

An NPR Quake renderer-makes quake look hand sketched
Gallery (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/graphics/Gallery/HijackGL/)

NPR Quake (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/graphics/Gallery/NPRQuake/whatIsIt.html)

Maybe because they could? Too much free time?
Any other Linux software without much use?

for fun, try getting ahold of xodo. It's an odometer for your X mouse.

I've had it up for a week now, and I haven't even taken my mouse a mile across 2 17" screens running at 1280x1024 :( But other than the novelty of it, who needs to know how many miles your mouse has travelled?

I can see it now... A used mouse market: "It's a beaut-- it's only got 5 and a half miles on it!"

Sold!

I'll send you a PM, and we can work out the details.

Vigor owns all other software at complete uselessness... All but one, of course...
