So I'm still currently a slackware lover, but I'm really trying to like debian. Debian and I just haven't got along so great so far.
I've got debian unstable on my computer right now. I've installed all the Xfce4 final debs from the repositories. Unfortunately, I can't find a "startxfce4" binary anywhere. I've tried just making my own startup script (.xinitrc) from the docs on the xfce website, but that didn't work either. Anyone have any luck getting this going?
Oh, and I had my system to boot into graphical startup, but now it complains that kdm nor xdm are my defaul login managers. I typed "dpkg-reconfigure kdm" to reselect kdm, but even after I reset it that way, it still gave me same error message at boot and drops me to prompt.
And one last note, I tried installing apt-listbug to be warned of faulty packages. Ironically enough, apt-listbug now errors eveytime it's called, which is just about whenever I try and use apt. Is there some config file I don't know about? I tried man apt-listbug, but didn't turn up much. In fact, it even errors on apt-get remove apt-listbug.
Thanks alot,
Isamoor
