I type shift2 in KDE (anything that requires text only) and I get a @ instead of a ".
Similarly, when I want to do the "at" key for and e-mail address I get a " and not a @. I know this is a keyboard map thing but I reckon I setup the keyboard map OK. I don't get this in the console or at ttyx (x=0,1,2,3,4,5,6) as root. but as su in a kde terminal I do and I do as normal user in kde. As a normal user at ttyx I get the right keyboard map. How do I change the keyboard map in KDE?
I have looked under the KDE config stuff, and I think, it must be an xf86config option (even though I can't find it in the config file) since there is now keyboard map swapping function in the KDE config utils.
I got my palm working!! Hooray!! It took a chmod 777 /dev/pilot so that my normal user couldget to it.
