I'm running Debian Woody, custom kernel, not that it matters I guess.
But to get to the point, I added a apt-source by hand to read deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.3/Debian stable main.
Then I ran apt-get dist-upgrade kde
No errors
Restart,
KDE3 is now a choice in the graphical logon screen
typed in UID and Password.
I even got the tips, but no menu no icons no nuttin. Now I'm stuck with Gnome, far from my favorite.
What can/should I do to get KDE back in the saddle?
