I recently installed knoppix onto my hard drive (i love it, so much faster than mandrake). i deleted the user knoppix, and made a user for myself, but now that user doesn't show up in KDM. How do i do that? also, anyone know of a good program to autologin my user to KDE instead of using KDM?
thansk in advance.

If you open up the kcontrol center, there should be a kdm choice somewhere. I believe that it is under system adminstration as login manager. There you can set options about what users you would like to see on the kdm screen and setup autologin. Remember, you will need to be root in order to change any kdm options. There should be a button that says administrator mode which will let you login as root to edit the options. You could always switch over to gdm or xdm, but I personally like kdm the best out of the three.
