hey i have installed mplayer....and it will run when i run it via the terminal. But i cant get it to show up in Multimedia section of the KMenu. How can I add to the KMenu?

You have to run kmenuedit to edit the K menu.

Right click on the start button, edit menu.

Or run the K-appfinder program.
