I have searched all over the internet for this, but I've only found an unsupported binary package that's as old as the crumbs in your moustache. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the newest one?

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the newest one? kevinatkins 10-26-2003, 03:52 PM hi, i'm presuming we're talking about a software / windows modem here? in which case, do you know what chipset? whether it's pci, etc... Snipe 10-26-2003, 03:56 PM The only information I have is that it's an ES56T-PI from ESS Technologies, and it's a PCI modem. I don't know if this is a winmodem or not, but searches for this modem bring up FAQs on Linmodems, so I'm assuming it is. To make certain though, I have just downloaded a program called ScanModem, I'll get back to you with the results on that. In case any other people stumble on this thread and wonder what ScanModem is, it can be found here. (http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/#scanmodem) Snipe 10-26-2003, 04:11 PM This is a pretty sweet application. Apparently my modem hasn't had any support since the 2.2.x kernels. Looks like I might have to use a different modem. Anyways, here's what the program found... justlinux.com
