gentoo dual boot and xp

Hi there

I am trying to configure my laptop for dual boot, everything goes well, I have my gentoo perfectly well and running, but I boot from the floppy.
I have installed my xp at the hda1 and then gentoo at logical partitions
hda6 /boot
hda7 swap
hda8 /root

the hda1 is 8.7 Gb

I have created a linux bin file which transferred to the C:\ drive

and I have configure windows boot accordingly.

My gentoo booter is grub.

The problem is when I boot to gentoo nothing happens


Any ideas?
