New PHP Project... Your Thoughts

Howdy everyone. I am going to develop some sort of PHP script, but I'm kind of in the air on what I should create. It will of course be an open source project, so I figure I would ping the linux community about it. Any requests on a particular script that doesn't already have tons of different flavors of. Any ideas, thoughts, comments are appreciated.

How about something useful for yourself? A blog or a way to enter bookmarks to a database. While your at it, how about taking a top 10 or 20 list based on how often the links are accessed by you. How about entering them by categories and a search function.

Would be a quick and simple project, I personally though have no use for this, as the only sites I ever visit religiously is my yahoo mail, theregister.co.uk, slashdot and here...

I don't own a business or do any marketing / sales of any sort online, so I have no use to create an e-commerce script of some sort for myself. If anybody is looking for anything, hell I may even develop it for you for free... but of course it would be open source and be available to the world.

Whatever I create, I wish for it to be dynamic in every aspect. All the colors, table widths, etc... When its all said and done, people would be able to write themes for it with ease.

Any other thoughts are appreciated.
