Are there any good RTS (real time stratagy) games for linux? Preferably one with SINGLE player mode. Tried the savage demo, but it's all multiplayer.

Taris_Kah 10-08-2003, 04:59 PM Best bet is to go compile the CVS for WineX or something http://www.transgaming.com/ other than Savage, I haven't seen much of a native RTS in Linux. Transgaming works great with all Blizzard games, haven't tried any of the C&C's I think Generals might work (with tweaking) and I'm pretty sure all of the MS ones (Age of Empire, etc) don't work. sasKuatch 10-09-2003, 06:55 PM I ran MS AOE2 with wine once. This was back in the day on my Pentium so it ran like crap and I've never tried since then. As for Warcraft 2 and StarCraft, they run great. You won't even notice it's wine. BTW, you need the Battle.net warcraft2, the original dos one won't run. justlinux.com
