warcraft 3, difference between winex....

First of all, I have running warcraft 3, but can not play single player campaign. anyone knows how to do it?

Second, is there any difference between the winex-cvs and the winex "retail"??? I know the cvs is the latest development release, but is there anything that winex "retail" has that winex-cvs doesn't? I got confused when reading some posts here and at forums.gentoo.org

the official (subscriber) version of winex has support for CD copy protection, enhanced windows installer support, and also gives you the ability/privilege to vote on what they develop next.

the cvs version is not meant as a "free" version. it is meant as a developer version for hacking to contribute code. with the cvs version, some games may not work, and some isntallers may faill, or a no-cd crack may be required.
