zsens roms

i have the tails of phantaisa and starocean roms and my version of zsnes wont load them in linux i have the latest version which is 1.36

Was StarOcean a Super Nintendo game? I don't think it was, thought maybe it had been ported to the <whatever console it was; I think N64> when I saw it...

zsnes is a Super Nintendo-only emulator.

They're both snes games,I remember playing them a few years ago.I don't remember exactly how,but if you find out what group did the translation for them,it should have the instructions for getting them to work.
