TuxRacer error message

When running Tuxracer as ROOT, it all works perfect.

However.... when I log on as any other user, TR starts, lets me select 'practice' and gets as far as the "loading please wait" screen then craps out.

The error message says:
"libGL: Application called unsupported GL API function"

(And it really messes up the screen resolution.)

Why would this work as ROOT but not as any other user?
Permission issue?????

try running it with strace.

strace tuxracer

Strace will usually tell you the real problem :)
