If you don't believe it, read all about it: http://objective.jesussave.us/propaganda.html But, first strap on your seatbealt. You'll laugh you a$$ off. This is just too, too, ignorant. Mac OS X is the devils instrument of corruption of modern society. Linux is his tool for spreading that corruption. BEWARE!
PS: I found the original thread at linuxquestions.org.
That redirects me to another site.. :(

LMFAO!
That can't be a serious essay! It's too funny. It reads just like satire.

..I knew people who used to think like this, and obey unflinchingly people such as this self-styled "minister"
You'll get no right of reply, because "God has spoken".
The tragedy is, that one of my close friends (I was best man at his wedding) , while believing in absolute faith, decided to test this by trying to stop an express train by faith.
He left a widow, 4 kids, and a traindriver in a lifetime of trauma.
BTW, Where does the word "daemon" come from?

I look at this minister's writting very sadly too. Why would anyone laugh at this? A christian community leader swaying his members to MSWindows, because it's not supposed to have "daemons" or back-ground processes?
Anyways, here is "The Origin of the word Daemon":

Good explanation of the word daemon. However, originally the word comes from the ancient Greek where it translates as "ghost". The word itself was neutrally used back then, a daemon could be both, a bad and a good ghost.
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, andycroft...
Well, Creationists are a really hard bunch of people. I observed it myself during my exchange year in the US. My theory is that because life's a whole load of uncertainties, people need something to believe of which they think it is "100% sure". Creationists are using the gaps in evolution theory to counterattack evolution theory and "prove" instead that the origins in life must have happened the way it's being described in the bible.
I'm a believer myself (Catholic - note my nickname, or go to The High Story of the Holy Graal (http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/OMACL/Graal/branch1.html) to read the medieval tale), but I firmly believe that faith isn't supposed to override common sense and logic, as little as the last two should destroy faith. So I'll happily keep using my Linux box with all its daemons in it. :)

Unfortunately, zealots are common in my part of the world. In my mind, an addiction to religion is like any other addiction, you lose touch with reality and can rationalize anything you want in order to justify your addiction. To these folks, a battle is being fought. They think it is between God and Satsn, I think it is between progress and their fear of the unknown. I hope they never get any political power.

...that this fellah ought to be sent a link to, about Bill Gates being the Antichrist? Something about the ascii values of his name adding up to 666?
Someone, somewhere's gotta send this nutty minister that one!
Oh, the fun!!!
(PS, Thanks, Parcival. This did happen some 18 years ago. Waste of a nice guy. IMHO, the ministers of the particular cult (which I was aware of) should've been tried for Manslaughter. Enough spleen! Onwards...)

I can see how this articcle could be funny, based on it's ignorant and closed minded views. But at 5:45 in the morning, I just couldn't find the punchline.
Maybe I need to read it again later in the day when my mind is not so tired. ;)

Personally, I believe it is fake. Alot of it seems to be copied or derived from "Southern baptists Boycott Linux" from some joke site I saw a few years ago, but am no longer able to find.

I hope so, I don't want to go off ranting how that site is stupid and crap when in fact it was just intended to be funny.
It looks like satire to me.
Here's another funny one

It's funny since the site in Geocities. I mean, where are they going to host the ISO files? Oh yeah that's right, the production seems to have been halted since there were no updates since 4 years ago. Pure gold.

What an idiot I am! Of course it's a spoof - I just saw it quickly on my way to work. I should've looked a bit closer.
Once I saw the sidelink to Landover Baptists.....Famous spoof!
About as real as Jesus in South Park! :D
