In windows 2000, if you hold your mouse over an html file, the tooltip says
"Type: Microsoft HTML Document 5.0
Size: 843 bytes"
I've never noticed that. It's just messed up.:eek:
Because it looks like they're taking credit for it? Yeah, I agree.

I tried it on several different computers running 2000. All said:
Type: HTML Document
Size:

mairving, what "service" pack were they running? I think I have 3. Can't check ATM as I'm in Linux, and don't have an hour for win2k to boot.:)
Anybody have any ideas as to why it says that?

Service pack 3 on one and 4 on the other.

If you go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Folder Options --> Click on the File Types tab --> highlight either HTM or HTML --> click on the Advanced button, you can change the caption.
