I found the new ATI drivers on my own and boy was i excited about having TV out support. Unfortunately they didn't work as easily as I had hoped so here's what going on.
I've got a fresh install of Mandrake 9.1. X Server was working great after install. So i download the driver, follow the directions, run the fglrxconfig program, try to start X server and alas my screen goes blank (like it went into powersave mode as if there wasn't any signal).
My Stuff:
Radeon 8500 128 Megs Ram,
Viewsonic VG181b Digital Flatscreen. I looked up the synch rates at Viewsonic's website and they are: 32-80 Horizontal, 50 - 75 Vertical. I specified these rates when I ran the fglrxconfig program.
Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
